Join us Saturday, October 15 for our next home buyers workshop focused on helping you get your finances in order. 

Buying a home is one of the largest investments you may make in your lifetime. Learn important budgeting strategies to help you make sure you can reach your home ownership goals. 

We’ll show you how to create a monthly budget and savings plan so you can be prepared for the financial costs associated with buying a home, including but not limited to:

  • Your earnest money deposit and down payment
  • Debt-to-income ratio
  • Savings for emergencies and home repairs
  • Investing tips for retirement planning

What is a Home Buyers Workshop?

Our home buyers workshops are hands-on, educational two-hour seminars designed to teach important things to know when buying a home. 

Our workshops are led by our Team Lead/listing agent, Erica Rawls, along with her team of licensed real estate agents/realtors in Harrisburg, PA. 

We cover the process of buying a home, from mortgage pre-approval to what happens once you go under contract. Other topics we cover include but are not limited to:

  • What mortgage lenders look for when reviewing your finances during the pre-approval process
  • How to make sure you put yourself in a position to compete in a sellers market
  • Understanding appraisals and inspections and how they impact the home sale process
  • How your credit score impacts your ability to buying a home
  • And much more!

We also offer hands-on activities in our home buyers workshops to help our potential buyers understand what it takes to write a contract AND win an offer on a home, especially during a competitive seller’s market. 

Home Buyers Workshop: FAQs

How Long Will the Home Buyer Workshop Last? Two (2) Hours

Our home buyers workshops generally last approximately two (2) hours. Workshops are typically held in-person at our office once a quarter on Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. We will occasionally host virtual workshops as well.

Does it Cost to Attend the Home Buyers Workshop? No!

Our workshops are 100% free. However, we do ask for a donation toward our educational fund which goes toward helping persons of color who are interested in getting into real estate obtain their license. 

How Often Do We Hold Home Buyers Workshops? Quarterly

Once per quarter (approximately 4 times per year). We’ll update this page with our quarterly workshops dates and other information as they occur and announce upcoming workshops in advance.
